If they are custom-fitted to your furniture, they offer a look similar to that of upholstery, but with the ability to remove them for cleaning (either dry-cleaning or machine washing). This makes them a great solution for homes with kids and/or pets. They also offer the opportunity to have different looks for different seasons.
